Content Guru’s storm CCaaS solution has received FedRAMP High Authorisation from the General Services Administration’s (GSA) Program Management Office (PMO), making it the first full-stack CCaaS platform to achieve this level of compliance.

“This will put us by ourselves in the CCaaS market with contact center as a service, of course. We’ll be the only ones with FedRAMP High, and we’re very security-minded as a company.” said Matt McKernan, SVP at Content Guru in an exclusive interview with our Digital Content Director, Xander Freeman.

The FedRAMP High baseline is the most stringent certification for cloud services handling sensitive, unclassified government data, covering sectors like law enforcement, emergency services, healthcare, and financial services. It ensures rigorous security and privacy controls to protect critical operations and assets.

Andrew Casson, Content Guru Vice President of Public Sector, said, “Content Guru values our long-standing relationships with federal agencies, including the U.S. Department of State, which we’ve nurtured over the past 20 years.

Their support was instrumental in helping Content Guru achieve the crucial FedRAMP High impact level designation. Cloud technologies like storm are crucial for empowering the federal government to provide the level of customer service that both citizens and federal employees have come to expect.”

This authorization streamlines the Authority to Operate (ATO) process for federal agencies, eliminating the need for individual security reviews and expediting approval for cloud-based contact centre capabilities.

With continuous monitoring and regular security assessments, the storm platform meets FedRAMP’s highest security standards, reinforcing its reliability for handling sensitive government data.

Sorell Slaymaker, Principal Consulting Analyst for Networking, Security, Unified Communications at TechVision Research, said, “Content Guru getting FedRAMP High authorization at a time when agencies are focusing on improving employee efficiencies and customer experiences at scale is very timely. This certification will give Content Guru customers “peace of mind” when shifting to a CCaaS solution.”

Our Digital Content Director, Xander Freeman, recently spoke with Matt McKernan to talk about this exciting milestone in more more detail.
