Dialpad has announced its acquisition of Surfboard, a UK-based workforce management software provider.

The acquisition aims to strengthen Dialpad’s offering by integrating Surfboard’s cloud-native WFM solution into its platform, enhancing tools for scheduling, forecasting, and performance analytics.

With this deal, Surfboard will continue to offer its cutting-edge WFM tools, while gaining access to Dialpad’s global resources and AI capabilities.

Surfboard, founded in 2021, has quickly made a name for itself by simplifying WFM processes and enhancing customer service teams’ efficiency.

Natasha Ratanshi-Stein, Founder and CEO of Surfboard, said, “Joining a world-leading company like Dialpad is an incredible validation of what Surfboard has built over the last three and a half years and our approach to making workforce management software simpler, smarter and fairer.”

The integration of Surfboard into Dialpad is expected to improve real-time forecasting and provide actionable recommendations using data from voice and digital interactions.

This acquisition is a key part of Dialpad’s strategy to offer a comprehensive, AI-powered solution for modern customer support, marking the company’s fifth acquisition to date.

Both companies expressed excitement about the future of their partnership and the potential to elevate customer service through their combined expertise.

Craig Walker, Founder and CEO of Dialpad, said, “I am thrilled about this deal and am very thankful and appreciative to both the Dialpad and Surfboard teams for their hard work in making this a reality.
