The festive time of year is almost upon us, with decorations already appearing in frosty windows and days getting colder. It’s going to be a different holiday season for everyone this year, but it will still be a time for us to extend goodwill to those in less fortunate situations and support our communities in any way we can.
RingCentral dedicate time to many causes and there is a real belief in giving back that runs throughout the company. The contact centre technology provider is looking forward to all the charitable events they have coming up over the next month, and are excited to kick off with The Big Xmas Sleepout At Home.
CEOSleepout is a charity that tackles homelessness and poverty in the UK. The organisation relies on funds raised by businesses and community leaders. It is a truly incredible cause and RingCentral can’t wait to show their support for the second time this year.
Early in June, a bunch of colleagues in London managed to raise £57,000 during the first Stay at Home Sleepout.
On 30th November, Candice Dupuis, Matt Bott, Marvin Tress, Mark Finnigan, Trevor Creek, James Currie, Ben Hollyer and Jason Lane of RingCentral will give up their beds for one night to support the charity. RingCentral will be donating $80 for each person who has signed up.
RingCentral’s team will be joining many others across the country who will be sleeping on the sofa, floor or somewhere safe outside.
At the time of writing, James Currie is sixth on the CEOSleepout fundraiser leader board of the 500 taking part, so let’s see if we can get him to first place!
Anyone who wishes to donate can follow the link to each of their giving pages. All money raised will help in the fight to overcome homelessness.
RingCentral are always thinking of activities they can take part in to get the team working together and raising awareness of causes close to their hearts. There are several other initiatives they will be involved in to bring awareness to great causes throughout December.
